MHS Class of “55” 60th
year Reunion…Saturday, August 1st
JUNE CLASS NEWSLETTER:
Here it is June already…and time for a class update for the
big 60th year reunion coming up on Saturday, August 1. Things are really starting to roll as the
plans are materializing and more and more contacts with class members are
coming in. We are really starting to
receive Class Bio’s to add to the booklet and encourage all of you to get your
Bio in before July13th. Remember, even
if you are unable to attend the 60th, we need your Bio to be
included in the hand-out. If you submit
a Bio and are not attending, we will mail you a copy so you will be able to
keep up with what is happening with all our past classmates.
CATERED LUNCHEON:
The luncheon for the event is being catered by: “Catering by
Darla” and will be a spread to behold!
Remember, the fee for the luncheon is $15.00 per person and that
includes any guests of class members. We
are happy to announce that we are receiving funds for the luncheon by many of
the class members. Send in your fee to:

REUNION LOCATION:
As a reminder, the 60th
event will be held in the Community Hall of the Montesano Church of God,
located at 317 E. Spruce Street. The gathering time is 11:30 a.m. with
the Luncheon being served at 12:30. Come
prepared to meet old acquaintances, do a lot of talking, and enjoying a
fabulous catered luncheon.

THE CLASS PLANNING
COMMITTEE SELECTS TWO PROJECTS TO HONOR AT THE 60TH EVENT:
The Class planning committee selected two community projects
to honor with a donation from the class of 55 at our 60th
event. The two selections are: The
Astro-turf MHS football field and the MHS
Music Department. You may send in
your contribution to either or both of these two selected projects to: Louisa Murphie, Planning Committee Treasurer,
Class of 55, 224 Kennaston Ave. W., Montesano, WA 98563. You also have the
ability to present your donation to Louisa at the event on Saturday, August 1st. Thanks to all in advance!
A SAD ANNOUNCEMENT: It is with sadness that we announce the passing of
Lloyd G. Sundberg. Lloyd passed away on
May 18th in Olympia. Lloyd
had been in declining health for the past months and was in an assisted living
facility at the time of his death. There
will be no funeral or memorial according to Lloyd’s wishes. Lloyd marks the 17th class member
to be added to the Memorial page of the Class booklet. We will honor Lloyd with a moment of silence
at the reunion. Rest in peace Lloyd…you
are missed…Lloyd’s obit from the
“Olympian”… SUNDBERG, Lloyd Grant, 78, Tumwater, died
Monday, May 18, 2015, at Cassidy Adult Family Home, Tumwater after an extended
bout of cancer. Funeral Alternatives of WA, Tumwater. (Lloyd’s family has contacted the Class.)

COMMITTEE: The Class Planning Committee
will meet on Wednesday, July 15th at 12:30 to 2:00 at the Monte Library on Main Street
