Since being the spouse of one of the members of the MHS class of "56" it was a privilege to be able to attend the Class of "56" Fifty-Fifth reunion Saturday evening, September 17th at the Grays Harbor Country Club.
Since the Class of 55 was only one year ahead of this class, everyone at the reunion was well known and well received. It was great to visit, attend the class program and enjoy a wonderful Prime-rib and Shrimp dinner with all the trimmings. Frank Byles was the master of ceremonies for the evening and did a bang-up job story telling, a few not-so-funny jokes, and giving the latest updates for the class.
A moment of silence was given for the 17 members of the class that have passed away since graduating.
One unique event of the evening was that everyone drew a number, matching the number of the many tables and upon the call from the MC, got up from the table they were at and moved on to the numbered table they had drawn and visited with as many guests as possible. It was a clever way to see and talk with everyone at the reunion...may be a good idea to try at the next Class of 55 event.
The Class of 56 made all present feel welcomed and really put fourth a great effort to make sure everyone had the chance to bring everyone up to date on everything that was happening in their lives.
It might well be a great idea to pass on an invitation to this class to attend our next Class of 55 event...
All in all, this class reunion was a great evening get-together!
Thanks for the opportunity of being a guest!!!!
